What is Sticktime

Other names for sticktime one might be familiar with are:

  • Stick and puck
  • Stick practice
  • Open Practice
  • Public Practice
  • Open Hockey Practice
  • Pond Practice
  • Rink Practice

Whatever one chooses to call it, sticktime is a practice session open to all ages of the general public.  Shooting, stickhandling and passing are the skills which are worked on during a sticktime session.  Skating is generally worked on during public skating sessions.

Requirements for sticktime:

  1. Stick
  2. Gloves
  3. Helmet (under 18 years of age must have full face protection)
  4. Additional protective equipment is suggested
  5. Your own puck (you may want to bring more than one)

Cost for sticktime.

Cost for each sticktime session is $16.00 per person.

Coaches are allowed to teach individual practices on sticktime sessions, however they are not allowed to conduct "team or group" practices during sticktime ice.  Scrimmage sessions are not allowed during sticktime.  Each customer paying for sticktime is allowed usage of the entire ice surface.  Individuals or coaches may not section of part of the ice from other players, however we ask all participants to be aware of individual lessons taking place and respect the coach and individual involved in the lesson.  Should you require additional information regarding sticktime sessions, please feel free to contact us.
