Classes may be combined due to attendance levels. Classes with larger attendance will have more than one instructor. Additional classes may be added. Days and times are subject to change. Gateway prefers no more than 8 skaters per instructor. Classes may be cancelled due to holidays or scheduled ice maintenance; however ample notice will be given at the time of registration.
Prices
The current prices for Gateway’s Skating School program are as follows:
*Enrolled Student: $20 per class
1 hour class: $25
**Yearly Registration Fee: $17
Skate Rental: $3
Non-registered skater drop-in $25 per class + skate rental (public session not included)
*There are typically 8-9 weekly classes in each semester; however we do offer pro-rated prices for those skaters joining class in the middle of a semester. We also allow students to attend class on both Wednesdays and Saturdays if they wish to learn at a more accelerated pace. ** Registration fee is required for all new students, as well as all returning students by July 1st every year.
Skating School Benefits
Learning to skate in Gateway’s Skating School program is not only fun and developmental; you will also receive several benefits and special offers for being enrolled! In addition to your weekly 30 minute class and complimentary pubic session on the day of each class, benefits include but are not limited to:
- Membership in United States Figure Skating Basic Skills program, including a membership badge, welcome magazine, and access to their Members Only Website
- End of semester evaluations and official USFS badges after completing each level successfully
Invitations to Ice Skating Club of Fresno social events - Eligibility to compete and perform at local events
- Discounts for multiple family members and early registration (some restrictions apply)
