2006	Saturday August 26th (All Day) Gateway Ice Center will be holding a USA Hockey Referee Seminar. The location for the classroom portion of the seminar has yet to be determined. Check back for location update. IHONC (Ice Hockey Officials of Northern California) will be conducting this seminar in conjunction with USA Hockey. Anyone who wants to be a certified USA Hockey referee must attend. The seminar is an all day event. There are eight hours of classroom instruction followed by an on-ice session (4:15pm-5:15pm). Anyone interested in signing up must register with IHONC at http://www.ihonc-ca.com.
2006	Monday September 4 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a special public session from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Saturday September 16 Gateway Ice Center will be hosting our second annual event fall in-house figure skating competition. The competition will showcase local valley skaters in a three hour event. The competition will be 4:30pm-7:30pm. For more information on the in-house competition, please visit our in-house competition page.
2006	October 31 (Tuesday) we will have a special Halloween public session. The session will be 1pm to 4pm. Wear your Halloween costume to this special public session (before you go out trick or treating) and receive free admission, (Skate rental not included)
2006	Friday November 10 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a special Veterans Day public session from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Thursday November 23, Thanksgiving Day, Gateway Ice Center will be closed. Enjoy the turkey!!!!
2006	Friday December 1 Snowball will be out taking a leisurely walk down Christmas Tree Lane. Please stop and say hi to Snowball, have your camera ready for a "picture with snowball" and ask him for a special ice skating coupon. Saturday December 9 Gateway Ice Center in conjunction with the Ice Skating Club of Fresno will be hosting our annual Holiday Ice Skating Show. Come out and watch our local skaters put on some entertaining holiday routines. The holiday show will be 4:15pm-7:15pm. Admission is free with a donation of toy for the US Marines Toys For Tots program. Without a toy donation, admission is $6.00 Thursday December 7 Snowball will be out taking a leisurely walk down Christmas Tree Lane. Please stop and say hi to Snowball, have your camera ready for a "picture with snowball" and ask him for a special ice skating coupon. Saturday December 9 marks Gateway Ice Center's 11th anniversary. We opened up on an evening public session so this Saturday evening we are offering an internet coupon special "two for eleven" that's 2 for $11.00. This means 2 persons receive admission AND skate rental for $11.00. You must have the internet coupon to receive this special. These ADDITIONAL sessions will be Monday through Friday, 3pm to 6pm. Sunday December 24 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a Christmas Eve public session from 1pm-4pm. Monday December 25 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a Christmas Day public session from 1pm-4pm. Tuesday December 26 to Friday December 29 Gateway Ice Center will be continuing weekday afternoon public sessions for the winter holiday break. These ADDITIONAL sessions will be Tuesday through Friday, 3pm to 6pm. Sunday December 31 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a New Years Eve afternoon session. This sessions will be 1pm-4pm
2007	Monday January 1, It will be another new year and Gateway Ice Center will holding an afternoon public session to celebrate it. The session will be 3pm to 6pm. Tuesday January 2 to Friday January 5, Gateway Ice Center will finish up our weekday afternoon public sessions for the winter holiday break. These sessions will be Monday through Friday, 3pm to 6pm. Saturday January 13 KIDS DAY AT GATEWAY. With a twist this year. Gateway Ice Center and the Fresno Falcons have partnered up on this one. If you have been to one of our Kids Day events in the past you know it is a lot of fun, but after the skating is over at 4pm what is there to do? Go home? No, it is time to go to a Fresno Falcons hockey game. The Fresno Falcons have partnered up with Gateway and given us tons of free, that's right FREE youth hockey tickets to game against Bakersfield that night. Tickets are for children 12 and under only. After Kids Day is over, grab a bite to eat and then head over to Save Mart Center for some exciting Fresno Falcons Hockey. For more information on Kids Day, visit our Kids Day page. Monday January 15 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a special session for Martin Luther King Day. This session will be 3pm-6pm.
2007	Wednesday February 14th celebrate St. Valentines Day at Gateway Ice Center by coming out for a couples skate. Before or after dinner, bring your sweetheart out for romantic ice skating. We will have 2 sessions to choose from. 3:00pm to 6:00pm or 7:30pm to 9:30pm. The St. Valentines Evening Session will feature "slow" songs only and admission will be two for the price of one, skate rental not included. Monday February 19 Gateway Ice Center will be holding special session for Presidents Day. This session will be 3pm-6pm.
2007	Saturday March 17 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a St. Patrick's special during our regular public sessions (1:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:30pm to 10:15pm. Wear green and receive free skate rentals!!
2007	Monday April 2 through Friday April 6 Gateway Ice Center will be holding weekday afternoon public sessions for the spring break. These sessions will be 3pm to 6pm. Sunday April 8 Gateway Ice Center will be holding an Easter Sunday special public session. This session will be 1pm to 4pm. Monday April 9 Gateway Ice Center will be holding an Easter Monday special public session. This session will be 3pm to 6pm. Saturday April 21 Gateway Ice Center will be hosting our 11th annual Spring In-House figure skating competition. The competition will showcase local valley skaters in a three hour event. 2007	Sunday May 13 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a Mothers Day Sunday special public session. This session will be 1pm to 4pm. Bring in your mom and she skates for free (when accompanied by a paying child). One mother per child please...... Monday May 28 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a Memorial Day special public session. This sessions will be 3pm to 6pm.
2007	Monday June 4 Gateway Ice Center will start up our 3pm-6pm daily summer afternoon daily weekday (Mon-Fri) public sessions. Now that school is out and it will be heating up, there will be no better place to be to beat the summer heat. These daily weekday (Mon-Fri) special afternoon public sessions will continue until August when school starts back up. These are in addition to our regular public session times. Wednesday June 13th Gateway Ice Center will be holding a special afternoon "Flag Day" during our afternoon public session. This session will be from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Wear your patriotic red white and blue and receive a discount. Sunday June 17 Gateway Ice Center will be holding a Fathers Day Sunday special public session. This session will be 1pm to 4pm. Bring in your dad and he skates for free (when accompanied by a paying child). One father per child please......
2007	Wednesday July 4th Gateway Ice Center will be closed in observation of independence day.
