RULES FOR STICKTIME
Rules for sticktime Due to the increase in boards breakage, slapshots against the sideboards of the rink will not be allowed. Anyone taking slapshots against the sideboards will be asked to leave the ice and their admission to sticktime will not be refunded. Everyone pays for sticktime sessions except coaches giving a lesson. Coaches giving lessons on a sticktime session are subject to the same rules of providing pro fees to the rink as the figure skating instructors. Any coach giving lessons on a sticktime session and not following these guidelines will not be allowed to go on the ice during sticktime sessions. There is no call in time for sticktime sessions. Sticktime is limited to 25 participants and 4 goalkeepers. If you show up late for a sticktime session DO NOT GO ON THE ICE until you have paid a rink staff member. If you do go on the ice without paying, the rink staff member has been instructed to inform you that you will not be allowed to participate in the sticktime session, even if there is room. Organized scrimmages are not allowed during sticktime. Coaches giving lessons during sticktime may not cone off areas of the ice to give private lessons.

ADULT PICKUP

Gateway Ice Center offers adult pickup sessions for $15.00 per participant. Every effort is made to offer pickup on a consistent basis however with a high demand for ice and limited resources, the pickup sessions get moved occasionally. Pickup sessions are limited to a maximum of 20 players and 3 goaltenders. This is done to insure everyone gets equal playing time. A minimum of 12 players is needed to have a pickup session. If a minimum of 12 players do not show up for a pickup session the session MAY (at the descretion of rink employees) be converted to a one hour sticktime session and players will be charged a sticktime rate of $10.00.
