Public ice skating sessions have taken on many "nicknames" through out the years. It is said said the Finns started ice skating over 5000 years ago to cut travel times.  However it got its start, ice skating has developed over the years.  Some names people call the public ice skating session include:

  • General public skating

There are many reasons to come skating:

  • Exhilarating  to glide across the ice

Ice skating is a fun, enjoyable activity for a single person, couples, friends, groups, or family to participate in.  It is a low impact exercise offering many health benefits:

  • Improved mental endurance
  • Reduced stress
  • Weight loss
  • Enhanced fitness levels
  • Promotes balance
